VEmesh IoT Extension to DALI (E2D)
VEmesh IoT Extension to DALI (or E2D, for Ethernet to DALI) solution enables the use of DALI luminaires in a cloud (IoT) controlled wireless network. The choice of DALI luminaires and controls in such deployments is usually due to DALI interchangeability benefit, which is important especially in large and very large deployments. In such large employments the robustness of the wireless network is paramount, and that’s precisely one of the areas that VEmesh IoT Extension to DALI (E2D) outshines the other systems around. VEmesh advanced mesh topology enables it to cover extensive areas in each network.
At the other end of the installation – the hub, E2D users can employ the advanced capabilities of VEhub, or use a management system of their choice, taking advantage of VEmesh E2D open protocol.
The use of E2D Lighting Control is mainly in outdoor, for street and highway lighting, as well as in large indoor deployments.
- Wireless connectivity for DALI Luminaires and Sensors
- Up to 16,000 Luminaires per single Gateway (network)
- 10KM radius area per single Gateway (network)
- Up to 250 co-located or adjacent networks
- Practically unlimited number of non-adjacent networks through frequency and sequence re-use
Other areas of E2D superiority are the short and deterministic latency, useful for collecting the status of all the lamps in seconds, as well as the high range between nodes that combines with the capability of avoiding the use of external antennas in most deployments. E2D is also capable of forming very large networks, for city-wide coverage in outdoor deployments.
All these features, and more contribute in turning E2D in a most advanced and cost-effective lighting system for cloud control of DALI luminaires and sensors.
